Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett of Romance Was Born

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The day began with a meeting with Romance Was Born designers Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett. Sonny Vandevelde joined us before running off to his photo shoot. After breakfast Konstantinos and I went to see the MAD SQUARE exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Good one if you happen to be in Sydney and like German Art from 1910-37. Then off to Joe's for tea and cakes before heading back out in the rain and off to the airport for the long trip home.

Konstantinos Menelaou and I had lunch at the museum cafe, we still cannot get over how expensive life is in Australia. According to Money Watch in July 11: Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world followed by Oslo, Osaka, Paris, Zurich, Sydney, Melbourne, Frankfurt, Geneva and Singapore but I think Paris feels cheap compared to Sydney. Two years ago not a single Australian city ranked in the top 100 now six Australian cities placed among the top 30 most expensive cities in the world. Manhatten is  44.

We travelled together for the first 14 hours of the journey. This was when we got on…

Myself, 14 hours later…we had more than 200 films to choose from…I think between Sydney and Paris I saw at least 10…

We had a few hours in the Dubai business lounge. Never saw such an expansive lounge, not to mention the airport. I did not take a shot but Konstantinos will make a post.

He's in Greece now and I'm back in Paris. Graham Tabor, Miguel Villalobos, Konstantinos and I are already missing our magical trip down under to the land of OZ.

Later,

Diane
