I have to tell you this has been my dream since I was about 8 years old and my best friend, Christine Henon, was Australian. We used to have mini koalas hugging our crayons. I've always been crazy for koala bears ever since but never dreamed one day I would hold one in my arms.

We all fell in love, what can I say this was the sweetest moment, of course there were the talking birds and pelicans, kangaroos with little joey in their pouch and many other little treats.
Remember I told you the other day how 3,000 people swim each year for 7 hours to reach rat park with pouches. Well, this one is a bit larger but…you get the general look. Supposedly they are harmless and don't bite.
He does have a kind of sweet face.
Goodbye koala bears. ASVOFF screening is tonight at PICA.
