Dear Shaded Viewers,
UK is not exactly a top summer destination, so yesterday was festival day again/the english equivalent to a beach!. This time the location was Shoreditch Park in London's east end. A small village was set up amongst the council estates looking like an odd oasis in the middle of the Hackney/Islington grey landscape.Summer Rites was a fun openly gay park event organised by veteran promoters Wayne Shires and Kim Lucas. Participant stages were hosted by POPSTARZ, EAST BLOCK, MEAT, THE JOINERS ARMS, GUTTERSLUT and GEORGE AND DRAGON in collaboration with Richard Mortimer and PONYSTEP.
