Chilean architect Sergio Larrain Garcia-Moreno studied in Europe during his youth and upon his return traveled throughout the Americas. Over a period of 50 years he collected the most varied pre-Colombian objects based on the emotion that their aesthetic quality produced. His interest was in the spiritual quality of the art. He died in 1999.
THis gives new meaning to being in someone else's skin.
The oldest piece in the collection.
Starting in childhood they used to reshape children's heads depending on their place in society.
I really enjoyed the visit.
