While I was covering Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week earlier this week, I had a chance to run through ARCO, Madrid’s yearly art fair, to take a few photos of the work. Many thanks to Helena Valera Guardiola for securing press passes for us.
My favorite piece of “performance art” at ARCO was the lab-coated mixologist who meticulously crafted outsized gin and tonics in the eerily lit VIP lounge. When he squeezed a few drops of bitters into the glass, I half-expected an atomic mushroom cloud to erupt from it.
Piece that addresses the ongoing drama of which Picasso heir can lay claim to the artist’s legacy.
