Just arrived in Madrid for Cibeles Fashion Week; loving my suite at the Puerta America Hotel. By Glenn Belverio

Dear Shaded Viewers,

My jaw dropped when I arrived in my suite on the Jean Nouvel-designed floor of the Puerta America….it can only be described as the "Japanese Emperor's Suite." This lovely plate-glass partition with a geisha photo motif divides the bedroom from the freestanding bathtub (which I used immediately upon arrival to wash away the memory of my miserable and scary turbulence-plagued plane ride). I have a walk-in closet, 2 living rooms and a stunning view of Madrid. Listening to Yoko Ono's BETWEEN MY HEAD AND THE SKY–it is the perfect soundtrack for this setting. When I get back to NYC I'll post my review of Nouvel's design and some more photos. Cibeles Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow with Jesus del Pozo's show..

Hasta luego,

Glenn
