OLIVIER BORDE FW 11/12 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I've been following Olivier Borde's work for a while now and appreciate the precision of his cuts, combined with a relaxed attitude. His last collection felt masculine and confident, offering great outerwear pieces and a nice play on graphic effects. I loved the way he mixed plaids with plain fabrics. A dark, belted wool coat with contrasting buttons was an instant classic.

It's nice to see a menswear line that has a clear focus, without being complicated. There is no fuss in Olivier's clothes and each detail serves a purpose. I was keen on the handsome, rugged charm of his knitwear and grandad shirts.
