Dear Shaded Viewers,
Last week I complained about my 7 hours waiting for a delayed flight from Rome, that was nothing compared to my friends horror story:
Hey D. I was stranded at Heathrow for 24 hours. Armageddon. Worst travel experience of my life EVER. They trapped us inside – no one could leave. No train; no tube; no bus and a half million people whose flights were cancelled all at exactly the same time running through the airport like insane people, crying fighting. They unloaded all the luggage for 500,000 people and dumped it on the floor in one massive pile. Spent 3 hours trying to find my luggage. No staff – pure chaos. Chaos. Couldn't leave the building to get home. Stayed all night. Fearing for life. then walked home pushing my luggage through the snow drifts on the highway hitch hiking with trucks to get anywhere closer to London after 24 hours imprisoned. Finally arrived home 6 hours after I was able to escapte the airport. So so so sick.
After hearing my friends travel story, super happy to stay grounded in Paris.
