NYC based performance artist Ariel Brickman has only been on the scene for a short time, but already her beyonder visual distraction has caused even the most jaded downtown denizens to take notice.I asked her to describe her work in a few sentances.

"Lately, I've been making and occupying a series of abbreviated, hyper-realized domestic scenes, to accomplish things threefold: provide ground for real encounter and exchange between patrons and the artist, to spark discussion about how human beings establish and occupy personal domestic space, and lastly perform an endurance task that functions as a metaphor for the constant work that is being fully present in the home." – WC
