A VISIT TO ACNE’S SHOWROOM IN PARIS – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Acne really upped their fashion ante for next season by offering clothes that were both sophisticated and easy to wear. Snakeskin, lambskin and silk were some of the sensual fabrics Jonny Johansson and his team focused on, imagining a stylish woman connected with the sea. I loved the scuba and New Age themes, especially the leather pieces embroidered with actual pearls.

Acne also introduced a proper line of bags this season, asking Husam El Odeh to create metal fastenings for several styles. They looked incredibly chic and were beautifully crafted.
