Yes, Venice is magic but if you decide to die there

like Robert Browning (d.1898) or Richard Wagner (d.1883)
or Thomas Mann's semi-fictional Gustav Aschenbach, you 
can no longer spend eternity on the island cemetery, San Michele.
I recommend a visit while you are still alive, especially to
the oldest section where you can pay homage to Igor and Vera 
Stravinsky (d. 1971 and 1982 respectively), Serge Diaghilev
(d.1929) and Ezra Pound (d. 1972) and many other legendary
Venetian ghosts.
