Eric Pfrunder and the Lagerfeld team spent the last few months turning Karl's archives upside down and then sending Donald Schneider, Art Director of Stern, boxes and boxes full of prints, Polaroids and old Ektachromes from the earlier years and digital files from the more recent series.
For the first time Karl took self-portraits of himself with Claudia. Jochen Siemens documented all the stories they told about each other the day of the shoots.
Donald Schneider has worked on projects with Karl Lagerfeld since his days as art director at French Vogue and more recently at Stern. A few years ago Donald had introduced Karl to H & M and started a bit of a fashion revolution.
