Dear Shaded Viewers,
The Material Boy presentation finished late last night and Mic Eaton put on a great show. He took a trip to the Middle Ages and put some sex appeal back into those medieval basics.
Although they may have alluded to Flemish tradition and history, Mic's outfits were completely modern.
Textures were rough, compact and felted at times. He stuck to a neutral colour palette, including cream, brown, white and beige. There were some great waffle knits, too. Standing among huge rocks covered with moss, these men were clearly not fooling around.
I loved the cropped wool top and matching jacket with contrast trim.
Overall, it was highly pleasurable to watch and the accessories finished the look perfectly.
Mic will be presenting his collection by appointment only at Level 1 52/78 rue des Archives, 75003 Paris, between January 21st and 25th.
Best,
Philippe
