On August 28th Oliver Hemsley, a 20-year old fashion student at Central Saint Martins was stabbed repeatedly by a 15-year old assailant in an unprovoked attack outside the George & Dragon in Shoreditch.
Clinically dead upon arrival at the hospital, Oli was resuscitated then spent months on a life support and with a severed spinal cord he is paralysed from the neck down and will never walk again. His friends set up www.artagainstknives.com and are organising a 2 day event : an exhibition on the 4th of May in Shoreditch Town Hall and an auction party at Shoreditch House on the 5th in order to raise funds for Oli and also raise awareness.
