Galerie Eric Allart presents GOTSCHO June 2 – June 9th 8 rue de Beaune Paris

ODALISQUE
2007 Odalisque – Salle Gaveau, Paris Commissioned by Waterman for the fashion week in Paris

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I had the pleasure of visiting Gotscho's studio outside of Paris with my friend David Gil last summer. The vast space was like a cinema set with Gotscho's art walking a fine line between fashion and art and design. More than fashion, Gotscho's work is about making installations and sculptures where he transforms the ordinary  by decorating, distorting, scarring and torturing them into finished works of art. He's torn between the baroque and the minimal. His muscular, well sculpted body is a work of art in itself.

Eric Allart moves Gotscho's studio to his gallery, AINU coproduces the 'LADIES FIRST' series made of leather, rubber, acrylic and feathers. Galerie Eric Allart – 8 rue de Beaune 75007 Paris www.ericallart.com www.gotscho.net
