Yoshiko Creations Paris NOUVEAU REALISME photographed by Noriaki FUKUSHIMA

Dear Shaded Viewers,

In France in the 60’s art critic, Pierre Restany and artist Yves Klein organized an art movement called Nouveau Realisme. Yoshiko’s collection features minorities in the context of “collective sinularity,” which states that individuals aggregate despite of or because of their differences. The artists of Nouveau Realisme borrowed the equivalent of reality directly from everday life and waste dumps as they poetically recycled reality from cities, industrial societies and advertisements. Yoshiko likes to convert things she finds in flea markets and furs that have been thrown away into stuffed animals. For this collection she produced a piece which is dedicated to Yves Klein, made with pigments from furs, bones and pearls.
