NORDIC FASHION BIENNALE IN REYKJAVIK BY SHOJI FUJII : NUNO

NUNO is a japanese textile company founded in 1984. They are specialist of using traditional and experimental techniques for ecological fabrics for fashion and interior design.

Director of NUNO Reiko Sudo had a lecture about their techniques at Nordic house.

It was interesting to know that one of japanese vegetable konnyaku can give water proof effect to fabrics.
I was wondering what materials NUNO company would to use for making fabrics from nordic countries.

I think it's great to take time to do hand work when you can do most of the work by machine with high quality now days specially in Japan.
