ANDREA MAACK IN REYKJAVIK BY SHOJI FUJII

Dear Shaded Viewers

I had a very nice day with an old friend of mine Andrea Maack who is an artist here in Reykjavik.

We met in London about 10 years ago when I was working as a photographer for a japanese magazine ' STREET '. I caught her on street of Portobello market to photograph for the magazine and sine after we started run into each other.

She moved back to Iceland 7 years ago, studied art and also had the first indipendant designers boutique Lakkrisbudin in Iceland where you could find Henrik Vibskov, Peter Jensen, Emma Cook, Yazbukey and others who were totally unnown at the time in Reykjavik.

There were her favorite images from runway shows on her office wall.

Some of her art projects are close to fashion project.

SMART was a project to create her own perfume in hand carved bottle. The presentation was to spray on her drawing on piece of paper which guests took off from gallery's wall.

CRAFT was the next project after SMART. She made this fine line drawing on paper and asked a designer Cederic Rivran who worked for Dior couture, Rue du Mail to design this dress.
