Last week, the RIO SUMMER event kicked off with fashion shows focused on resortwear,
beachwear, swimwear and anything else a sun-sea-and-sand loving
creature could ever dream of. Without a doubt, if anywhere is the
perfect setting (and source) for style on the sand, it's Brazil. And
Rio de Janeiro provided the ultimate urban backdrop.
Karen Harries from the London buying office Boutiqueye was my main partner in crime throughout the event. In Rio she was feeling particularly Rio and laid a bunch of mighty eggs. Then the cannons around the Forte de Copacabana show location inspired us to do a mini shoot like Cher's battleship video (minus the sailors).
I met stunning Gigi who is about to have a baby boy and was as fearless with her jungle look as I was – photo by her husband Felix-lovely couple.
