Dear Shaded Viewers,
The Cockettes screens tonight at the Jeu de Paume at 19h. The film has never been screened in Paris and the director David Weissman will be present. There are no reservations, this is open to the public and it is on a first come first serve basis, please keep in mind that the theatre capacity is 93 seats.
Clips from the amazing documentary on the Cockettes and the antics of this infamous hairy fairy performance troupe. All yer fave characters make appearances, from Cockettes like Hibiscus, Goldie Glitters, Sylvester and Sweet Pam, to their colorful pals like John Waters, Divine, Jilala, and Holly Woodlawn. The film is directed by David Weissman and Bill Weber.
A Shaded View on Fashion FIlm, the first Fashion Film Festival in Paris, takes place the last 3 days of the Richard Avedon Exhibition at the Jeu de Paume- 26, 27 & 28th September.
