After seeing the 6 new covers of POP, I decided to ask Katie Grand a question:
DP: Montana and Mugler ruled the 80?s what do you think was the cause of their demise and why?
KG: It was a very different time for fashion and music, during mugler and montana’s hey day the taste was for glamour and excess, grunge came along and killed all of that. No longer did anyone feel the need to wear make-up, heels and a shoulder pad. Taste turned to the complete opposite of the Mugler and Montana aesthetic, and the trend was for jeans, converse and t shirts
