Marc Quinn
For the first time Galerie Hopkins-Custot will participate at the FIAC 2008 with 20 pieces of Marc Quinn’s work. Marc’s sources of inspiration are: primitive art, ancient art and modern art.
You will also find at the stand of the galerie other major works of art: flower painting, series of Sphinx (Kate Moss), skeletons, marble feteus’ and also recent pieces made for the FIAC: sculptures of plants with flowers and fruits, onirique visions of a resplendent nature.

Marc Quinn was born in 1964 and is considered today as one of the most inventive of the Young British Aritsts (YBA), along with Damien HIrst, Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas, Christine Borland, Dinos & Jack Chapman…
HIs work consists of his exploration of themes such as mortality, beauty, and the game between art and science. Signature to his work are skin, blood, excrement, human skeleton, dead animal carcasses, ADN, as well as his perfection of white marble, medicine, wax infused with blood or frozen flowers.
