Vitrine 2007 Flanders Fashion Institute – Surfaces

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I am in Antwerp for the opening of the Vitrine. I have not seen all of the windows yet but so far my favorite window is Walda Pairon with the Objects with a Soul that is in the main Mayerline shop:

Mayerline Brussels celebrated their 50th anniversary with the Belgian artist, Walda Pairon and the Objects with a soul. There are many other objects featured in the shop.

Our man, Sonny Vandevelde has two windows, today I have to locate the other one. Sonny is in NYC for the fashion week.

After the opening of the Vitrine 2007 we were given a great treat as circus performers presented the work of Ghent design student, Laurence Vlerick

Afterwards we went off to celebrate Tim Van Steenbergen and his lovely collection of fencing inspired menswear and his collaboration with Monsieur – Chausseurs by Ambiorix, a traditional Belgian shoe manufacturer for hand made shoes.
