As promised, a preview of the photographers and fashion designers continues. Michael James O’Brien will be showing his work at the first fashion and photography festival organized by

Grupo Correo Galliego-NOOVO Magazine in Santiago de Compostela. The co-founders of the NOOVO festival are Charo Gonzalez and Jorge Margolles with yours truly as the co-curator.

Michael James O’Brien
studied photography with Walker Evans at
Yale University in the 1970’s.
He has worked commercially for many
european and american magazines
and advertising projects.
From 1990 to 2000 he made all the still
photography for Matthew Barney’s Cremaster series.
His book of photographs Girlfriend
was published by Random House in 1999.
His first solo show was with Marion de Beaupre/galerie 213
in paris in 2004
and most recently at Hermes in New York in 2006.
