Dear Shaded Viewers,
Araki and Yoko Miyake of commons&sense magazine
Speedy Araki shot 10 silhouettes in no time for commons&sense magazine and then took the team off to his karaoke bar, a tiny, cozy space.
Whenever the spirit moves him he starts to shoot people. There is a white board that comes down and lights turn lighter and suddenly the bar becomes a photo studio. He also draws with the ink brush, sumi-e. Below are drawings of Yoko Miyake and Akiko Hamaoka.
Look for his 40 page shoot in commons&sense ISSUE 33 coming out on 27 August.
