Mario Canal: From Mexico with love!!!

Dear DIane, Dear Shaded Viewers,

I have not slept for more than ten hours since I arrived in Mexico DF. That has nothing to do with Jet Lag it’s just the crazy parties… Lot of friends to visit and new ones to meet…

One of them is EGR, lovely guy and also a contributor to ASVOF. What can I say Diane, you have a very good instinct about people. You’ve got it…

Let’s play some pics:

Besomex

Spanish legionario meets El Zorro… Perfect methaphore for my trip.

Tereant

Ok, here you have two of my best friends: Antonio de la Rosa and Teresa Margolles. Two of the best artists you can imagine… Maybe you remember Teresa’s intervention at the Passage Souterrain.

He is working on the Proyecto Juarez and she will show a new exhibition with Kiki Smith in Jumex art space -DF-, in a few days. Unfortunately I will be flying back to Paris at that time…

Clinicain

Of course I paid a visit to the Clinica store. It’s a pity EGR still has no mens… But I got a t-shirt and… a new friend. Much better than a pair of trousers. Or anything.

Xclinicassocios

Here you have Clinica partners: EGR and Denise. She is super beautifull. Super lovely.

This image is already the afterparty of an art opening. Crazy party as you can see in next picture.

Antpant

No words…

Familly image:

Todos

After the afterparty we went to an afterhours club and by then it was already 6 am- to Plaza Garibaldi. Here in Mexico the national sport is dancing Cumbia. See an example:

Baile

Doesn’t matter if you are a boy or a girl.

Sooo, that’s it. I have been invited by a lovely french antique dealer -friend of my friend Erwan Fichou- to spent the weekend in the countryside so these are last images of my first Mexico report:

Friends

Best thing about travelling is the people, no doubt. But I can’t help finishing this post without showing you a building. Mexican architecture is the best…

Edificio

Love from DF…

Mario
