I met Claude Sabbah 16 l/2 years ago when I moved to Paris. Lots happened since then. Tonight he celebrated his birthday with Regis Maurin and John Armstrong and his very many trans-generational friends. King Sabbah’s party was a big success, great music, of course, good people, good food, nice flat..I did not stay very long but I was there. Happy Birthday Claude.
As I was leaving I ran into Chris Martin in his Eyes of Laura Mars shirt. I know Chris from when we both worked on Suzanne Bartsch’s Balade de l’Amour in 1991.

Tomorrow’s birthday boys are Robb Young and Luca Marchetti. Happy Birthday, I can’t help feeling a little like a character in Shoes when I say that phrase or maybe I just have You Wear it Well 2 on my mind.
