Art of Weaving by Romy Smits for Libeco Home

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The first time that I met Romy Smits in Antwerp I had the feeling that if she concentrated on  home furnishings that she could easily become another Marimekko. From 1992 to 2001 Romy worked as a freelance consultant, visual manager and art director to Dries Van Noten.

The current collaboration is  "Art of Weaving’ by Romy Smits for Libeco Home.

Patterns of life and Sun Shine are single copy editions in l00% linen that can be customised to fit any table.

Wooky Samura is a lamp also a single copy edition and moon glow is a table cloth.

The world of Romy Smit is as much about the spirit as it is about the surface.
