MILAN BULLETTIN, by angelo flaccavento

Day 1

Byblos opens the day with a messy affair of brocades and knits, thin ribbons and sculptural flounces, big volumes and short hems. To be honest, the sporty couture theme is kind of interesting at the beginning, but it soon gets out of control.

Ferragamo right after is quite a surprise. The vintage-looking shoes are great, in particular a green wedgie lace-up. Clothes are a nice take on late-50s-to-60s couture. Bourgeois and a little bit literal, shapes-wise, but well done in rich, intense colors.
