Dear Shaded Viewers,
Just to remind you who Justin Morin is you might want to google my site and have a look at his beautiful embroideries. In the mean time these images were taken yesterday in Venice at the Biennale.
The first image is a close up at the ying yang garden of Ghada Amer, ond of Justin’s favorite artists and the second one is an installation by the queen of the neon, Jenny Holzer.
The two images above are from the Icelandic pavilion, a creation of Gabriela Frioriksdottir. The black sculptures are speakers that have the same form as the bjork jewelery on the cover of her Medulia album… "It’s a fascinating modern totem. I was very happy to visit this pavilion because I saw some great performances of my friend Ema Omarsdottir, an amazing girl. I met her thanks to my friends Damien Jalet and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoul, the choreographers…" Justin is in the process of writing a book on Sidi Larbi Cherkaoul. I had the pleasure of meeting him when we were all waiting for the train on the Quai to take us to the Dior Homme show.
Lastly, Justin eating an ice cream, he is also very partial to milkshakes and even is a member in good standing of the milk shake club. I am also a member, there are not many of us.
