Dear Shaded Viewers,
Today was the first day that I felt I could leave my computer and catch up on some of the things that I had been really wanting to do. First off was the Rinko Kawauchi and Adriana Varejao exhibits at the Fondation Cartier. I lifeblogged the posters and one image of Adriana’s work to you this afternoon. Adriana had flesh and organs piercing through decaying walls and pristine blue tiles. Rinko was sheer poetry exploring the family in a most intimate way. She can take something as banal as a tea kettle on an electric burner or a cord from a vacumm cleaner and transform it into a poem. She touched my heart.
After wards I went to the Thaddaeus Ropac Galerie in le marais to see the Yasumasa Morimura, "Los Nuevos Caprichos". The images recreated one of my favorite painters, Goya. Here are a few for you to enjoy.
