Dear Shaded Viewers,
I just came back from a very special visit to the home of Alejandro Jodorowsky and Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky. We met last month at the Galerie Foret Verte where Alejandro and Pascale showed their art work. Alejandro does the design and Pascale does the color. If you are in Paris, you have a few more days, the show goes down on the 10th Tomorrow there is a closing cocktail at 19 rue Guenegaud 75006.
Pascale designed all of the costumes for Alejandro's latest film, The Dance of Reality, which by the way has been invited to screen at 100 festivals this year. I thought it would be a great idea if Pascale could give a master class at ASVOFF 7 at Centre Pompidou and as it will be in French we must have Beatrice Thomas-Wachsberger the wonderful journalist and translater that worked with us when Mike Figgis gave a master class for ASVOFF at the Champs Elysees Film Festival also last month.
I would never have dared to ask but Alejandro gave me a short but powerful tarot card reading. Actually he met his wife when she came for a tarot card reading and at the time she had no idea who he was. It is a beautiful love story which is quite evident in the photo I took of the two of them. It's all a beautiful story like the bonsai that grew way beyond its limits. You can see that too in the photo. I left their little paradise with a gift from both of them, Alejandro gave me the gold sculpture by Cosmo and Pascale gave me her book La Realidad De Mi Danza published by our friend Moises Cosio Espinosa, Executive Producer of The Dance of Reality. I cannot wipe the smile off of my face and I will cherish both the sculpture and the book.
