Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
It's been a productive and exploratory time as artist resident at NTU, Centre for Contemporary Art in Singapore, during my stay enjoying adventures into local art and culture. One of the absolute favourites has been going to see Becca D'bus hosting RIOT, a monthly live-art cabaret, it's fashion enhanced, extreme drag on the critical cutting edge, light years ahead of anything going on in Europe or Australia! Becca designs and makes costumes daily and every moment of her life is like a living art-performance campaign…….channeling Leigh Bowry as predecessor, but with a new contemporary Singapore attitude. RIOT! is Singapore's only regular drag revue, and nothing like it has existed since the Boom Boom Room closed 10 years ago.
