Dear Shaded Viewers,
David Herman and I arrived in Vladivostok yesterday and spent the day touring the Arseniev State Museum with Viktor Shalay, the Director of the Museum which we both found quite informative. Then we went to the art collective Cherdakf run by Zoya Lipatnikova. It was quite interesting to see all of the creative talents in one industrial type space. I fell in love with the toys, the fat rat, the sea creatures and the carved bone pieces which included a flying pig. Along with toys there were also accessories, textiles, embroideries and of course fashion. Tonight some of them will also be on display at ASVOFF screening location.
