FILM SYNOPSIS:
Set in western New Mexico in the late 19th century, a "Day of the Dead" ball is held at the stately Villa Meredith-Ailman. Many souls attend the festivities and old flames are fanned and new fires are started as guests pair off for private liaisons. Secrets are revealed and conflicts arise that can only end with a Duel in the Desert.

DIRECTOR'S BIO:
Currently residing in New York City, Stephen Dirkes founded and directs Obscure Object Films production company and works as a filmmaker and composer. A devotee of cinema craft and historical avant garde cinema, he's been drawn to explore stop motion and time lapse animation, stills animation and finding new and interesting ways to incorporate those techniques into the latest in digital film making. As a filmmaker, the rhythm and structure of Dirkes' picture editing is very closely allied to structures in music; a connection that greatly influences his work.
