As craft and handiwork are no longer the sole domain of barefoot campfire type girls, fashion folk doing apprenticeships or even full-blown courses (bless) in traditional cottage skills like knitting, crocheting, embroidery and the like are more likely to be called ‘quaint’ than ‘queer’ nowadays.  Laura Lees is carving out a little niche for herself fusing embroidery, leatherwork, dressmaking and a dash of showbusiness.  The Scot who studied tapesty (double bless) in Dundee threw a little bash at the Trafalgar Hotel this evening celebrating garden goddesses gone a bit gran down at the pub on a Tex-Mex Day of the Dead.  Er, kind of…
