The final shot before leaving Epping Forrest. I was there for a picnic for Boudicca and a photo shoot. We all went in different cars, all 50 or so of us. Robb and I had the pleasure of driving out there with Katherine Whitton. She told me one of the reasons why American Express choose Boudicca to back for the next few years and for the past few…they knew exactly what they would do in order to protect their image and exactly what they were not willing to do. She liked that a lot. I do too. It was a fun Boudicca experience.
For those of you that do not know Andraste – the Warrior Goddess and the patron Goddess of the Iceni tribe,  was the goddess of victory of ravens and of battles. There is a sacred grove dedicated to Andraste somewhere in the Epping Forest. Queen Boudicca leader of a rebellion against the Roman occupation, is said to have propitated Andraste in her campaigns against the Romans. Boudicca released a hare as part of the rite of propitiation. Zowie has a beautiful hand made hare in a plastic bag here. The name Boudicca means victory. Supposedly Epping Forest was the last battelground of Boudicca and now you know why we are all gathered here.
