More ancient history from my closet...at age 30 my More ancient history from my closet...at age 30 my first husband died, he was 31, in a car crash. Much as people like to think that is the reason I always wear black, that is not the case. It is more attune to why Yohji and I wear black, it is a 'don't bother me, I won't bother you' quiet kind of color. #newyorkcity

Old friend Horatio Goni was in Paris. I was living Old friend Horatio Goni was in Paris. I was living in the 16 eme Blvd Suchet very depressing area and needed money so sold my precious Diane Arbus photo to Horatio who had an art gallery. Stripped curtain was left over fabric from when I had my fashion brand. Mirror I just gave to @pedro.guez when I was moving things around my apartment.

CARLOS MOTTA’s 25 years of artistic practice — CARLOS MOTTA’s 25 years of artistic practice — PRAYERS OF RESISTANCE | AT MACBA BARCELONA 💖🩷

“Motta’s artistic career began when he was very young, in the late 1990s, shortly before he emigrated and settled in New York. The exhibition pays special attention to the artist’s engagement with political histories and social movements – and, more specifically, with the politics of sexuality and gender, as well as with the so-called HIV/AIDS crisis – and its contemporary implications on the fragility of bodies. The notion of the collective body and the artist’s attention to the politics of care is fundamental to his representation, both individually or self-representatively and in the various forms of collaboration that the artist stipulates in his projects over the years.”
