Romy Smits will be showing his work at the first fashion and photography festival organized by
Grupo Correo Galliego-NOOVO Magazine in Santiago de Compostela. The co-founders of the NOOVO festival are Charo Gonzalez and Jorge Margolles.
romy smits was born in the netherlands but has lived most of her life in belgium. since 2002 she works as an independent designer with her design studio for concepts, fashion, interior design, textiles and art. over the years, romy smits has developed her philosophy through several stylistic, functional and material expressive means her bespoke designs are based on feelings and intuition. since 2005 her wooky concept is being developed. wooky is an organic shape which symbolises romys inner child. this shape has been repeated and transformed to graphic and sculptural designs. romy is fascinated by the countless variations which can be made out of one shape.
