Ann Demeulemeester has opened a new boutique in the heart of Milan’s Quadrilatero della Moda, marking a major milestone in the Belgian house’s international expansion. Located at Via Monte Napoleone 22, the space occupies a former refectory and becomes only the brand’s second standalone store after its Antwerp flagship.
A celebrated member of the Antwerp Six, Ann Demeulemeester founded her eponymous label in 1985, cultivating a cult following for its rebellious aesthetic, before her retirement in 2013. Now led by Creative Director Stefano Gallici, the house continues to honour Demeulemeester’s signature codes of independence, individuality, and her distinctive blend of bohemian and gothic design.

The new Milan boutique encapsulates this spirit through a design featuring stonewashed walls, black wooden floors, and deep-toned furnishings. The brand’s predominantly dark collections are illuminated by sharp white light throughout the space.
Coinciding with the opening, the boutique presents an exclusive preview of the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, showcasing Gallici’s evolving interpretation of the maison’s legacy. The space will also host activations across fashion, art, music, and architecture, continuing the brand’s tradition of fostering creativity and cross-disciplinary exchange.
