Dear Shaded viewers,
This show is a spectacle. For the designer, it is an opportunity to bring together twenty years of his life into a single moment—his desires, his hopes, and his dreams. Through his vision, he hopes to make us feel something we can carry with us.
The starting point of this collection is inspired by the designer’s own journey. It began in the isolation of the countryside, where his only connection to the fashion worlds of Tokyo, New York, and Paris was through magazines found in a local bookstore. His desire to belong to that world later led him to London and finally to New York, ultimately resulting in the creation of his own brand.
The collection incorporates several theatrical elements, including clown-inspired motifs, distorted silhouettes, and the figure of the Pierrot from Italian commedia dell’arte. These grotesque elements allow the designer to reclaim the sense of wonder he once felt, making fashion fun again. The collection also features heavy outerwear with patchwork textures, graphic bomber jackets, and layered tailoring, embodying the distilled essence of two decades of experience in fashion.
Sincerely,
Alex.
