India Mahdavi’s Archives Sensibles and PIN-UP HOME’s Afterglow

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Archives Sensibles is a two-part installation on the archive as living memory — fluid, intimate, in motion. In the Tiny Room, miniature furniture models trace a personal design language, somewhere between tool and dream.

The installation also launches Project Room – Vol. I, a book by Studio Achermann, capturing the ephemeral decors shaped in this space from 2020 to 2023, India Mahdavi’s quiet laboratory of ideas. A trace of what once was. A memory held in form.

Meanwhile, next door at Project Room #19, India Mahdavi hosts Afterglow, an exhibition by PIN–UP HOME, the New York-based platform specializing in design objects and contemporary home and lifestyle accessories. At its heart, a collection of resin candleholders by Dutch designer Vincent de Rijk, inspired by the shifting light over Rotterdam’s port, seen from his studio.

Soft tones — cloud white, dawn pink, mist green, sun yellow, wave blue — form a sculptural tablescape. A quiet rhythm, like ships drifting through water. The memory of a gathering, glowing still.
