Hand drawn, hand touched, hand scrawled. Titled Deep Space Nymphs, Matty Bovan’s A/W 23 collection presented a new sci-fi baroque splendour and luxury. Illustrating humanity in the perfect antithesis to an AI – controlled digital future. The result was Cyber Victorian dolls with punk edge showcased in presentation form instead of traditional runway. This format was perfect as it allowed us to truly see all the hard work that goes into his upcycling, bricolage, adorned pieces. A truly beautiful display of the pure, raw talent that is Matty Bovan.
