Y2K to today at Woolyoungmi PFW SS13 – text by Leticia Dare

Dear Shaded Viewers,

In a moment of accidental reflection whilst moving headquarters in Korea, Madame Woo of Woolyoungmi delved into the archives to produce a collection that emulated the nostalgia of the early 2000s Korean ‘cool’ guy. Saluting the Y2K era when the brand was born, Woolyoungmi also references today’s young generation with low cut and wide trousers contrasted to the tightly cropped tops. A key to the brand is its tailoring. The look was a mash up of Brit pop, and hip-hop styles whilst referencing the heyday of the music video era. It felt fresh, wearable and was a perfect way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand.

Later,

Leticia
