
Cottweiler to restage AW19 collection in Seoul March 22nd, 2019
TheBritishFashionCouncil (BFC)has partnered with Seoul Fashion Week with a mission to support the business objectives of their respective emerging designers by showcasing them directly to an extended audience of buyers, media and consumers.
Seoul offers an opportunity to designers in Asia. Designers stage their shows in the Aaha Hadid designed Dongdaenum Design Plaza. Cottweiler has been selected by SFW and BFC teams as the first recipient of sponsorship to stage their AW 19 show in Seoul this March. The show marks the first time an international brand will be scheduled alongside domestic brands. In addition to the show SFW will host a dinner for key Asian buyers and press and the BFC partnering on retail activity with Cottweiler to amplify the consumer impact for the brand.
Founded in 2016 by designers Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty, Cottweiler is concept led with a focus on fabrication and fit. The brand has gainednotorietyfortheirimmersiveshowpresentationsstagedin institutions including The Natural History Museum and the ICA. Lauded and respected by the fashion establishment, the designers were semi Finalists for the 2016 LVMH Prize and winners of the 2017 International Woolmark Prize.
