Dear Shaded Viewers,
I’m delighted to introduce you to the world of Gall. Worshipping a functional avant-garde aesthetic: this is the philosophy behind the high-end men’s and women’s fashion brand Gall, founded in 2013 by Justin Gall and Chiara Nardelli. The curious name evokes contrast, hostility, poison, cuts and scrapes, all mixed generate a higher harmony. This cryptic brand defines itself as “neoteric;” in fact, it represents a new esotericism, with Asian references found in its dynamic volumes and proportions and in the extreme minimalism of the garments, which actually hides refined details such as contrast piping on the seams, pockets and zippers, creating a functional play of line and tailoring. The items are 100% made in Italy, where the two designers believe they have found the best manifestation of high quality. Gall’s aim is to create a code of contemporary armor that turns customers into modern urban warriors, confident and ready to fight everyday battles. Darkness characterizes the whole Autumn/Winter 17 men’s collection, in line with the brand’s signature style, but the all black looks are alternated with looks printed with abstract light designs. Natural fibers like cotton and fleece are mixed with technical fabrics, while the oversize dimensions produce fluid silhouettes that emphasize the interesting character of the individual, instead of his physicality. Gall, indeed, embodies a free spirit, which is strong, limitless and contrary to any kind of boundaries and social labels, meant to enhance the creative and mysterious souls who feel free to express themselves without constraint.

Giorgia
