Dear Shaded Viewers,

McQ Alexander McQueen introduces two unique print designs, one is featured here, in collaboration with tattoo artist and editor of the tattoo magazine, Sang Bleu, MxM, aka Maxime Buchi.

What is not pictured here is the nautical tattoo design that will appear on a loose drop-shoulder T-shirt. The fitted white shirt with a cut-away button down collar and the T-shirt are part of the McQ Autumn/Winter 2013 menswear collection. Next Spring/Summer 2014 there will be another 2 tattoo collaborations with MxM.

The traditinally maritime iconography with compasses and ships was reworked by MxM in his own unique handwriting. The image evokes the savage versus the explorer and looks at ideas of colonisation.
