Dear Shaded Viewers,
I just came back from a beautiful moment chez Jean Claude Jitrois where I saw the 1997 calendar by Helmut Newton on his wall. Jean Claude made all the pieces for the shoot and it was Helmut's first all leather shoot. Their friendship continued for many years and there are amazing documents of it on the walls of Jean Claude Jitrois' mini palace in Paris. To me it felt more like a palace than an apartment with the Louis XVI chairs, the collage by Peter Beard and the amazingly beautiful photographs of Jean Claude's designs by Karl Lagerfeld.
In 2012 Jean Claude Jitrois was decorated Legion d'honneur by Sarkozy.
