Fushimi Inari – a visit by Akiko Hamaoka

Fushimi Inari
A Shinto shrine in Kyoto.

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Akiko Hamaoka made a visit to the Shinto shrine in Kyoto, Fushimi Inari, yesterday and found the energy extra ordinary. Seems to me a great place to visit the end of the year or a nice way to start the new one.

The earliest structures were built in 711, the main shrine was built in 1499. Inari is the Shinto God of Rice. Californians, this could be your dream hike.

Later,

Diane
