Dear Shaded Viewers,
Enrique will always have a place in my heart as one of the initatives to start my first fashion film festival back in 2006 when it was more of a curated program, co-curated, than an actual festival and called YWITW. I had made the road movie, Adventure of Pleasure, for Eley Kishimoto's menswear launch and my ex-LA collaborator on ASVOF had suggested screening it in LA, following day, out of the blue, Enrique sent me a fashion film that he had directed and I decided it would be more fun to have a film festival than just a screening of my road movie. Mexico City, therefore, has been a part of ASVOFF from the very beginning and we are now gearing up to another ASVOFF Mexico City under the eye of the beautiful Luisa Saenz as producer.
